G'day Dragonmount members! I've only just finished The Eye of the World and it far exceeded any of my expectations. It's truly masterpiece! I've ordered The Great Hunt and Dragon Reborn and they should arrive at my doorstep any day now. I can't wait to pick up where TEotW left off!

  3. Started by Hermetic99,

Greetings all, I'm brand new to the site, and pretty new to the series as well. I'm about to start on book 3, but I'm already in the thralls of the series :) I haven't been this into a book series in a long time, and since none of my friends have read the series (many think I'm daffy for starting a 12 book series that isn't even finished) I knew I'd have to seek elsewhere to talk about the books. I'm a long time fan of Sci Fi and Fantasy books, with my favorite series being the Dune series (only the ones written by Frank Herbert.)I'm not the fastest reader in the world (compared to people like my girlfriend who downed the original 6 Dune books in about a month …

Hi there, my name is Elly. I've never read any of the WoT books, but my mom Lily is playing Mafia games, and they intruigue me. I'm new to this forum, but not new to forums in general. Years ago, I used to frequent Gaia, but it's been a while, and my usage needs a little polishing, so bear with me :3 If there's anything else you would like to know, feel free to PM me.

  8. Started by Chriswot,

I was introduced to WoT in 1999 by an old roomate. I zoomed through 6 books in about two months whilst working full time physical labor. Many a night i passed out with my finger on the next page ready to devour the world that Jim created for us all. It is truly magical. Since then I can't count the number of times of read the series and cant even begin to comprehend how many times I've listened to the audio books. Kate Reading and Michael Kramer's voices are like the voices of old friends to me, as are the characters in the books. I think I've introduced at least 20 people to the books over the last 10 years, some of which are very stubborn non-readers o…

  9. Started by Killiam,

Hey there all. Been a member since Sept. 09 but finally decided I would post something in the intro forum. I have been reading WoT off and on since about 1990. Since 2002 I have been re-reading the entire series before the next book comes out. In fact, this summer is the first time I haven't re-read all of the books before the next release since 2002 (although I still have a few months....). I love the books and the extreme detail within them. A real intellectuals sereis. I plan on becoming more active in the forums as none of my friends read the books and my wife despises them (because a lot of the last 8 years of my free time has been between the pages…

Hey there all, Just a short one! I'm from Melbourne in Australia, currently 26 have a been reading WoT for about 13 years now, although have only been a crazy fan for about 3... Give you one guess who my fav character is... *glances at his username*

Gday from the southern Aiel Waste (also known as outback Australia). Very little happening here, hope to read all about what fellow WoT fan(atics) think and enjoy about our favorite books and author. I've been a WoT fan for quite a few years and have met a few others. It always amazes me at the diversity of people who enjoy it. So to throw my own stuff into the pot, why dont i tell you a bit about myself. Well, i'm aussie, if you havent already worked that out, live away from the big coastal cities in a place called Kalgoorlie, in the desert (our own Three-fold Land). I'm an apprentice chef, with aspirations to be a fantasy writer. Ok, im outta here for now…

Hello all! Um... I'm Andrew, AlannaLynn's older brother by two years, making me 20. (I checked out her newbie post to get an idea of what to say.) I've been reading WoT LONG before her, and it was actually me who introduced her to the series. Took me three tries I think. ::) I TOLD YOU you'd like them. HA! My favorite characters are Rand, Mat, Egwene, and Faile- though I am reading the entire series over again to catch myself up before I read the newest book in the series. I just can't bring myself to do it any other way. So my favorites are subject to change as I get to know them all once more. Alanna just told me about this forum, or I probably would hav…

Hello. I've just joined the site. I've been a guest several times in the past. I like to look up random facts I have forgotten or see what interesting theories my fellow readers have posted. I recently finished re-reading all 12 books. This is the reason for my finally joining. I wish to share my thoughts on the series and perhaps shed new light on topics that have become somewhat used and stale. I am glad to have finally joined. Just a bit about me: I am 23 years old. I live in the southeastern United States. I will be attending college this fall to work on my second Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Scienes. I have a Bachelor's in Accounting. I work at a national heal…

Well, my name is Ethan, and I have been meaning to join for some time now. The only problem has been that every time I think about doing it, I become distracted by topics of discussions. They are like shiny objects to me. So, moving on, I have been reading this series for over seven years ever since my friend introduced them to me the first day of 8th grade. Favorite characters are Nynaeve, Rhuarc, Amys, and Semirhage.

Some will have seen me on the DM community forums when it was down... (shaltilyena, there) Holidays and all having come, I seem to have a li'l bit more free time, so, fortune prick me, let's add the DM forums to the DMC forums and theoryland :p Yeah, I'm what you'd call an hardcore nerd, though I "only" started reading WoT in, about, 2003 (was quite a change from the Belgariad :p). I'm french, so I'll probably be posting at what some here will think to be insane hours (forum time +10, :p) but as I spend a good bit of my time on that kind of forums, that shouldn't impair me too much^^ Well, see you somewhere else. Just need some coffee to get started on the…

Nah! Just kidding. I'm John. Relatively new to WoT. I heard about it in September from a friend of mine. I don't know how I overlooked it before since I am an avid reader and LOVE fantasy. And I have to say that Robert Jordan (RIP) has become my favorite fantasy author over the last several months. I went through the books rather more slowly than I do most. Probably because the world Jordan portrays is so much more intricate and in depth than anything else I've read recently. I found myself rereading chapters just to make sure I had everything right. Haha! Anyway, I finished reading TGS about a month and a half ago. As soon as I finish the current teen-ish series I'm…

  20. Started by Gokkus,

Hey hello everybody, For the past few years ive been (re)reading the Wheel of Time trying to figure out exactly how brilliant you have to be to create the entire WoT world. So far it only lead to more questions: How did a world with this much detail fit in one head? How is it possible to know so many things on so many different subjects? How does one manage to be patient enough to write it all down piece by piece while there is so much more to tell? Anyway I'm a big fan of Robert Jordan and can't wait for Towers of Midnight. I need to know what happends next! It's no longer about what I want, but about what i need! Gokkus

Hey there. I've been reading WoT for the past few months now; and it's sucked me right in. I'm currently on the 5th book; if I had the time it would be the only part of my day.. That definitely sounded obsessive. I have to admit that I'm ecstatic about being a part of this site, and hope to contribute some fan art of my own soon. :3 P.S: I have happily indulged in the fact that Birgitte assumed the name 'Maerion' Mae.

Hadn't been able to read it since I had so much work with college and reading those books and all. Forgot how much I love wheel of time!

  27. Started by Ignatius,

I have been a Wheel of Time fan for the past four years, discovered this site last year, and today, finally worked up the courage to join. I look forward to finally being able to discuss theories and possibly meet other avid WoT fanatics. In addition to WoT, I enjoy reading, history, old-school video games, and occasionally cycling. I am also fascinated by theoretical physics and plan to pursue a career in the sciences. P.S: This is only my fourth post on an online forum ever, so forgive me if it a bit crude.

Hi, I'm a French newbie. I just happen to be in the middle of a re-read (the first re-read of a book/series I ever did in my life) and I've been an active reader of the spoiler forum. I might not be an active participant, but here I am, bonded by the wheel, wrapped in the taveren's pull. Otherwise, I surely love music, especially metal and astrophysics, which has lead me to have some thoughts about the One Power and its interactions with the world of WOT. Anyway, please to post here for the first time and ready to get your wrath.
