My name is Robin. I started reading "The Wheel of Time" Series back in 1995 and have been reading them over and over ever since. I have read the first 6 books at least 8 times through and now have my wife and my cousin listening to the audio book versions of them. I am only halfway through reading "The Gathering Storm" but ever single chapter so far has been nothing short of awesome. I have to say that it is slowly becoming my favorite book in the series, but that may be just because it is the newest version.

So I've been involved in the WoT community as a whole for eight years, and always *meant* to join up here. Or I have a bad memory and I joined and then promptly forgot I joined and never came back to post. Both are entirely possible! Anyway, I think I know a few people from around these parts from elsewhere, and I've heard lovely things about the people I don't know, so I figured I should finally bite the bullet and dive in! You may have to remind me to post however. And by "may" I mean "will."

Hey there. I am totally new to this forum. Infact, this is the first non-gamer forum I have ever signed up for. Ever. Yup. I like to play my games & read my books like a true geek. Seriously though, I am a big time reader of ALL genras including; fiction, history, phillosophy, science, mystery, true crime, science fiction, and, most of all, fantasy. I even worked at Barnes & Noble for three years I love reading so much. Now, my whole point is, Wheel of Time is my all time favorite series by far. Currently, I am almost finished with book five. I have been reading them a lot slower recently because of life (stupid life). But I have no doubt…

Hello everyone! I have been lurking in the forum for a while now. Now that I can find some time to participate in the discussions, I thought I'd give a little heads-up here first. I started reading the Wheel of Time back when Fires of Heaven was released. A friend pointed me to the books, so I bought the Eye of the World, and not halfway through it, the other books that were available then. Since then, I was hooked. When Robert Jordan sadly passed away, I almost gave up hope that the series would be finished. I must admit that I was not sure what to expect when it turned out that Sanderson came in, but I think it is no spoiler to say that, in the end, I fou…

Hi all I am 63 and have been reading Robert's Wheel of Time series since the first one. Fantastic as a word does not do it justice. Thanks to all who have contributed, to his wife and to Brandon for continuing the final books. I look forward to the end, though part of me does not want it to end John

Hey folks-- new to the fan sites, but have been reading the series--over and over and over :)-- for quite a while. Does anyone know if there are book club groups around? I'm in Atlanta in a grad program, so I don't have tons of time. But the Cons are here, so I figure something must be going on fairly regularly.... Any ideas on where to look? Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Greetings to all :) Although I've known this site for a while, its only today that I've registered in this forum.. I picked up tEoTW back in the end of '08, found it surprisingly fantastic, went on to read all the other books in the next few months. Although, at this point of writing, RL's a bit busy, so I'll probably be more involved in the forums once that's over. Hope to be able to interact with many of you soon! Ikran PS: I'm sure a few of you here know what my name reference is :)

Hiya fellas, I'm a new member (obviously), and I'm here to enjoy the Wheel of Time world... but within the first 6 books, 'cause I'm only up to book 6 so far (and they're terrific). I also do weekly roleplaying sessions in the WoT world along with 5 other people, which are brilliant (my character, a Saldaean archer, has a lovely masterpiece bow that hardly ever misses). So yeah, I'm pretty immersed in WoT right now; I'm even writing up our roleplaying sessions as stories on a blog I've newly created... if that sounds interesting to anyone its at http://wanderingthewheel.blogspot.com/. Anyways, hi to everyone :D

Erm... Hi! ;D I'm Grumbert and a big fan of WoT, despite only having been reading it for 1 1/2 years. Not sure how old most of the people here are, but I'm 15 and have come here because my friends are not into reading, and if they do read it's something like Alex Rider >:(. I need somewhere to discuss the series! I live in Ca-Ca-Cargh...Canberra, which is not the most exciting place on planet earth, and I like power metal, football(Manchester City!!!), and good fantasy books. I despise waking up at 6:45 each morning. See you around! :)

Hey DM, I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking here off and on for a long time and finally got around to making an account. (Ha- actually made the account a couple weeks ago, and am just now getting around to introducing myself. My re-read of TGS has had me mucho distracted). :o I'm a WOT nut (ie hopelessly obsessed)- have been for 12 years now, ever since I saw PoD on the new release shelf at the library. The cover (the best IMO) just drew me in like....well like a certain Ta'veren pulls people to Him. I'm also over at Tor.com quite a bit, and plan on attending JordanCon next year as well. Let's see, a little about me: I love RPing, am interes…

We rode on the winds of the rising storm, We ran to the sounds of the thunder, We danced among the lightning bolts, And tore the world asunder. Hi there, and welcome to Dragonmount. I'm Arath, one of the leaders of the Black Tower RP Division. I hope to see many of you visit the RP side of these boards soon. If any of you have any questions at all regarding the BT Division, or the RP in general, feel free to post them here, or to PM them directly to me. I don't bite. Balefire is far more fun :D The most important thing about the RP is to have fun. We are a bunch of random people all brought together by a love of the books, and an urge to write about …

Hi everyone! Well, I'm Alanna. I'm 18 years old, I've been reading WOT for YEARS (well, REreading them time and time again). I love the series, my favorite characters are Mat, Moiraine, Thom, and Logain. And I have absolutely no idea why I haven't joined a forum before now. So, I'm looking forward to talking to everyone here!

Hello all! I'm new to Dragonmount and "new" to TWoT (being that it's my first read through) I have read many fantasy books but I have to say that TWoT is without a doubt one of the very best. What I like about it is that the shai'tan (i think I spelled it right) actually has a presence in the world and can influnce it in many ways. He is not some kind of "god figure" that sits on his tower like a big eye (Sauron). He gets involved. He's motivated. I love the idea of Shaidar Haran (who is called the Super Fade in these neck of the woods) I mean, How cool is that? Bad guys were always my favorite. Another thing that the story is starting to hint at is that the world wa…

Hi everybody. Although I've known about this website for a while, I've just now registered an account. I started the series in 2000 based on a friend's recommendation. It was the first fantasy series I'd ever tried, and I'm glad I did. I'm currently rereading the series as I found that things weren't as familiar as they should be when reading the new books. Stop in and say hello if you have the time. Jimmy
