Hi everyone! My name is Brian and I've been reading the WOT series for about 5 years now. I never really enjoyed reading till i picked up Mr. Jordan's books... now I'm hooked! I read through the books in a few months not really knowing anything that RJ was going through until I caught up with the series. I will always be grateful for RJ's books and the world that he opened up to me. I'm currently an English major at the University of Arizona and read whatever I can get my hands on... Anyways its good to finally be here!

Hello, I am new here (obviously). I have just finished reading book ten. Of course I would have to finish it on a Saturday and not be able to get to a book store until Monday. I noticed this web site in the back of my book and thought I would check it out. I read a few of the posts and took a quick look around and signed on up! I thought I was the only one this big on the books. I knew they were popular, but I had no idea it was to this extent.

Hi all, Just decided to re-read the whole series after the release of Gathering Storm. It had been so long that I had forgoten too many facts, places, names, events, etc...and besides, after checking DM, TOR, and other websites the urge to re-immerse myself in Randland was overwhelming. The only regret I have is that I gave away all my books including the Compendium, but at least my library has them all. Currently about to finish the 4th book and am happy to be aboard.

I was a member of Dragonmount many moons ago. I was also (as I am sure a lot of posters were) an avid member of WOTMania and mourn its demise. I have read all the books in order and have reread several. I have now gotten my oldest to start reading the series (he is on TGH and appears (I think) to be enjoying it. The main thing about WOT fans that I had never encountered prior to finding these pages is the absolute devotion to the story and arguments of the minutia of the smallest detail. I relish these arguemnts and find the closest parallel in the arguments often conducted on the fine points of the Talmud. I look forward to reading and contributing (sometimes just a co…

I'm skyphoenix, otherwise known as skyphoenix, and i'm not much of a social life online, however, being a fan of the series, as well as excited about hearing obsidian take up WoT, and enjoying the NWN games i figured, why not be a part of a group with similar interests. i'm also interested in computer tech, good food, good reads, and music.

So I have this friend. Her name is Kailee. I'm pretty sure she's on this forum. Somewhere. Anyways, Kailee was always like, "blah blah blah Wheel of Time, yadda yadda yadda" and I would just stand there going "lolwhut?" So one day, I was like, "I TRUST YOUR TASTE IN BOOKS. GIVE ME ONE," so I read the first one. Then the second one. Then I kept going until now, and as of today I'm about halfway through the tenth one. Though at the rate I'm currently reading them (about half a book per day) I'll probably be done by the time anyone even notices I'm here. Anyways, I'm Summer. I have a pet chicken named Nynaeve. I have no idea how I ended up here. But I did. …

Hello all, My name is Angie and I'm from Sydney, Australia. I am currently a few chapters into 'Crown of Swords', and I have to say, the WoT is eating my life. This series is fantastic, absolutely brilliant and unputdownable. I think I have a slightly unhealthy adoration for Siuan Sanche. From the first moment she stepped onto the page, I thought she was made of awesome, and I was only proven right by the events that followed in the next few books and how she handled them. I think one of the things I love most about this series is that it is absolutely full of strong women, both young and old. My favourite characters in everything are always older women, and th…

Hi everyone! I was a member here a few years ago. I am back! I hope that many of my online WoT friends are still members here. I missed you! I am not new to the WoT world. I have been a member of several other online WoT sites, have owned and run a few including one kinda active one that I am changing into a WoT RP and fan writing/art site. I have been a Novice, an Aes Sedai, the Mistress of Novices, the Head of the Brown Ajah and the Amyrlin on other sites. I would like to start over as a newbie here. I hope to find my old friends and meet new ones! I'm back! big huggles, Cat

Long time fan, 1rst time poster. I wanted to introduce myself. I am an avid reader. Nurse/medic by trade. Like to trout fish, go to ball games, chill at my country home. Hope to enjoy many discussions here. I am concerned with the practicality of making a feature film of the WOT series because of the volume of the work and worry hollywood would chop it up.

I've been lurking for a bit, long time fan of the WoT series. I've been reading the WoT books for what seems like forever, I estimate that I've read the eye of the world about fifteen times now as I re-read the series when a new book comes out, and sometimes just because. With ever increasing demands on my time I've taken to listening to the books on my media player, so the number of 'reads' is unknown, I'm up to The Shadow Rising again, where Rand is coming with the dawn :) Chapter 27 ish?

Hello world ! My name's Olivier, I've started posting here on DM a few days ago and thought it was a good idea to introduce myself. I work as a avionics system designer in Toulouse, France. (yeah, sorry, i'm french :) ). I enjoy dancing (the 2-people dancing, Rock'nRoll, Boogie woogie, salsa, tango ...), reading (when there(s time!). I've started reading WoT when I was 18 (you can't imagine how hard it was to read THAT after barely 5 years of english lessons). And was kept on the hook since then. I enjoy reading mad theories about Selucia beeing Luckers's mother in law :)

So I discovered The Wheel of Time when I was in 11th grade. Read books 1-11 over a one year period. Love this series, sometimes more so than The Lord of the Rings. In the process of reading The Gathering Storm.

"No one can tell how the thread of his own life will be woven into the Pattern...." - Loial, in the very first book That's true, and beyond all denial. Sometimes a small, seemingly inconsequential task turns out to be part of something really big. On a particular day in 2007, I was looking for something to comfort my friend Harriet. Yep, that Harriet. I had come to Charleston for the funeral, and was missing my friend Jim so much, and was wanting to do whatever I could to help Harriet and everyone else through the sad time. So I went out to the back and got on one of the computers in the room above where Jim wrote. (Um. Should I go back and put "RJ" there? …

I really hate doing introductions, but it would be very rude of me not to at least make the attempt, and so Hi. I have been reading the WoT for about seven years, and love it, I have read the entire series about four or four and a half times. Half as I am working back through it right now, this time, on audio, so I can hopefully get some stuff done while enjoying it. I dont know what else to say, as I am horrible at introductions, so, yeah.... Hi...

Joined the forum today. Looks like this is the place to introduce myself. I'm Icarus. I just started "Eye of the World" last week, and I'm about 500 pages in now, so I'm still trying to figure out where to go and not go in these forums to remain spoiler-free. I've heard great things about the series, and wanted to see what it is all about. I love that this forum's software is the same as the Jim Butcher forum! It is much easier to navigate and read than some of the other forums I frequent. Back to the book!

Welcome to the wonderful world that is Dragonmount. My name is Samurai. I am the Ogier Org Leader here at DM. For those that don't know yet, the Org's(Organizations) are the social groups here at Dragonmount. They are fun places to hang out and chat with people over like-minded topics. Speaking of topics, around the Ogier the topics are Books and History. We have discussions on all types of History, such as: Written/Spoken story, Architecture, and even tactical situations. We also like to get together and have book clubs, where a common book is read and talked about. We have some beautiful examples of architecture from our Ogier travels, and... Whe…

Occasional lurker, first-time poster here. I finally decided to sign up for a Dragonmount account so I can talk to other WoT fans (although you probably won't see me here very often). I started reading WoT ten years ago after I spotted the series in the fantasy section of my hometown library. To be honest, it wasn't love at first sight. I read TEoTW and wasn't impressed by it, so I decided that I wasn't going to continue with the series. Several months later, I was looking for another book to read; I got to thinking that TEoTW wasn't that bad and decided to give the series a second chance by reading TGH. The rest is history.... :) My favorite characters a…
