So I was inside half-price books the other day with my family, and after looking fruitlessly for an "Encyclopedia of World Religion", I decided to check out the WoT section again. (I always do, have to complete that hardcover set), when I saw a rather large paperback copy of tEotW. ::) Curious, thinking it could of been one of those failed attempts at a "kid's version" of it, the one with the extra chapter in tEotW, and broken into two smaller books, I pick it up, and am astounded to see that not only are the interior/exterior covers reversed, but that under the title, its printed that it is an "Advanced Reading" edition. It's time for me to get my feel of the general pulse of DM. And there's lots of newbies, so it's always good to have one of these every now and then. I'll start. When I'm not the Head of the Brown Ajah in my online fantasy world, I'm a high school science teacher. (Physics and Earth Science) I have a master's in engineering and I am thinking about getting back into consulting on the side for extra money. Oh, and I have applied for a job as a lecturer at the local university, as the high school kids (and principal) have been getting on my nerves lately. Next?

I was thinking of something to give Harriet from everyone. I noticed that people are doing different things on the site for her but I wanted to through out and idea to you to see what you would think. I had noticed that a lot of people have put how WOT has effected them on the site and also your posts. I wouldn’t know how to go about it so I will give my idea to you to run with. Why not make a book about the fans. It could be called “The Heart of The Wheel of Time” The book would not be just one story but many stories. The book could be about how the wheel of time has effected the readers and changed their lives. …

find that DM is slow the past week....or is it just me? I have been having a crazy time getting around on the boards because they are loading up so slowly for me.

We're nearing the end of the consolidation process for the boards and I'd like some feedback on it. I know not everyone has moved over yet, but the majority has. If you're happy with the new boards, tell me why. If you are unhappy with them, tell me why. If you were for the move, but now hate it, I want to know. If you were dead set against, but now think it's pretty sweet, I'd like to know about that too. One caveat though. If this turns into a flame war, I'm locking the thread. Negative feedback is fine, calling me and the other Admins a bunch of names is not. So talk to me. Tell me what you think.
