It looks really familiar, like from one of the this-is-what-hell-looks-like, end-of-the-world movie scenes. End of Days, Prophecy, heck maybe Phantasm or something.

 

It must be something I saw once a long time ago, because it's familiar, but I can't place it.

It's definitely not End of Days or Prophecy, I would've remembered that from those films.  It's been too long since I've seen Phatasm though.  Could be Total Recall though.
