I picked up my puppy on Saturday. He's fantastic - even better than the pictures!

 

I've named him Asha'man. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. I'll post some pics when I have them.

My standard response is,

"I read it in a book and I really liked the sound of it. It means Guardian of truth or justice."

 

Once that's out, people generally raise their eyebrows, stick out their lower lips, nod their heads absently and say, "Fair enough."

 

I was going to call him Uncle Sledgie, but the first time I said the name, the dog crapped on my shoe and threw up on my shin! damn, he's a good judge of character!
