i interacted with people like me, so.

visually dark as well, though. when i went. stifling, unpleasant.

and... i looked around too much. very icky.

Visually dark? You mean the color scheme? mIRC let you customize that right from the get-go. And at the time I had my Windows colors set to all black and grey anyway.

in 1993-6? if you could, i didn't know it. i didn't know much tho. keep expecting the pterodactyl to pop in and carry the email to mr slate. it was probably the effect of going in from a nice bright chat room... like going to an SRO for an hour. just unwholesome.

I don't know if you could on whatever preceded Windows 95, as I never thought to look before that. Assuming you were using Windows.

Also you might then not have been using mIRC. I did all my IRC wackery 1998-2001.

it was windows i don't remember what, and it was just irc as i recall.

it was vile. much better to pm where people could read it over your shoulder than go there.

My boss thinks that way. Usually thinks people are all out to screw him over. Any time there's some sort of issue, he takes that position, and I usually take the position that more often it's that people are dumb.

i don't think they're out to screw me over. they are mostly dumb.

just, the human brain has nasty little places where creepy things lie in wait for weak moments and alcohol and such. vileness. it's ok. i accept it. just... didn't used to be so easy to find as it seems to be now.

Totes on the short list of dog breeds I would want, along with a Great Pyrenees and a pure husky.

have you known many? they're difficult.

pyrenees are gorgeous, but... major care involved. full time.

and huskies don't admit they're domesticated . they never stop running.

plus... dogs = guilt. lots of guilt.

unconditional love. i can;t accept it.

One of the two I grew up with was half husky, half retriever. People thought she was a chow, which was kind of dumb.

that's a good combo. the pure husky. well, the pure anything is difficult. retrievers settle them down.

i always went for shepherds given a choice, but... lot to deal with there too.

She sort of looked like a cross between a dog and a deer, especially in her youth.

how unusual. we can;t keep the retriever mixes out of the lakes and creeks around here. and anything shepherdy usually gets very aggressive with the barkies. not like a purebred, but... sounds like it.

guess doggies are as individual as anything.
