And just because he looks more like the Crow than the Joker doesn't mean he was ruined in terms of character. What did he have to say about every other comic-to-film transition that has failed to be a perfect translation?

Speaking of the crow such an awesome movie, haven't seen dark knight or batman begins yet

i actually prefer to sit in dark rooms with my hubby...

 

and it's not so much the transition as the fact that the joker seems (in the trailers) to be mean because he enjoys being mean rather than that he's mean because he thinks everything is a joke, thus funny. including gruesome death.

Well, the film translation isn't exact, but given the results, I find I really can't complain. I found myself not even caring anymore that he was only wearing makeup (except for his smile-scars) instead of being permaclowned.

You have to realise that a Dirty Harry look isn't intimidating in the slightest because Clint Eastwood has no eyes and blind guys are only dangerous when they're Asian martial arts masters or just when they try and operate heavy machinery.
