lol, that's excluding KoD ofc :P when i joined DM I was two books away from finishing the series i think. and I'm coming on my 5 year mark in october

I started the eye of the world about a year and a half ago. Now I am on crossroads.

Its been about 2 years since I've read any wot. That said, I've re-read it into the double digits, and very little is actually fuzzy for me. Obligatory Wot reference here!

Wow. I only plan 2 re-reads. Maybe more later in life.

Ya, although I have probably said it a thousand times by now. I got started on wheel of time when I was in a thrift store browsing the books section and thought the title page of the eye of the world looked cool. I was just looking for any general fantasy book. Little did I know...

My grandparents gave it to me as a Christmas gift.

My older sister got me interested.  Then she got disinterested around book eight or something.

It was good for me since the only book I am going to have to wait for is the last one.

That's kinda like how I chose to start reading Malazan.  It was the number and the size, plus the artwork kicks ass.

Malazan Book of the Fallen is a series written by Steven Erikson.

It's a good series, but the style is all around different from WoT.  (just a warning)

I'll have to look into that when I am done WoT.

Dsage, you read Malazan? Finally, someone else who reads it! Too many people don't read that series. I loves it!

 

Also, Steve Erikson and Ian Esslemont are both Canadian too, its pretty cool.

Well, I read GotM.  I'm trying to clear out my library of books I haven't read.  I'm hoping to start DG in early May.
