And now the new sixth book has apparently taken the tack that yes in fact the second head was a later addition to Zaphod's physiology, although his great-grandfather also had two heads so I think Eoin Colfer wasn't paying any attention.

Well, weren't all Zaphod's ancestors and stuff really just him?  Something like that....Hm....

 

Ha, so Eoin Colfer wrote a Hitchhiker book, eh?  Wonder why?  I liked the Artemis Fowl books, and Airman was superb, but it's kind of weird to think of him writing one of those.

No, they jsut went in reverse in order of the numbering, hence why Zaphod was the First and his great-grandfather was Zaphod the Fourth.

Whatever, it's all stuff that I don't really care to think about all the time.

There was some time travel or other involved, but it's been a while since I read the book.
