In my opinion, television is for when you want entertainment, but also want to be lazy.

Video games are when you want slightly more active entertainment, that requires a small effort.

I think there are more than a few parents' groups that would take issue with the notion of video games being "active" entertainment.

So basically you're judging something you have no experience with to base an opinion on. *sigh*

Mildly true. Back in my old house, I remember watching a good amount of TV (we stole our neighbor's connection or whatever). I can't really remember getting anything good out of it. I can't say if that holds true for all of television, but the stuff that I watched because I found entertaining.....can't recall really learning anything. Same thing for movies, even though on average, I watch like one a week give or take a little. Video games for the most part, although I have learned a couple things from Civ, for whatever that's worth.

Our society is based around the premise of wants not needs, easy to see why a majority of past times are a waste of time. The person who actually modernised this way of thinking, and home propaganda to a degree is sadly all but forgotten now.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcYBSXgtmKQ I reccomend watching if you want to waste time and learn something interesting in the process, this is in regards to how our society transformed to a degree, from a need to want institution.

Over-consumption, it just serves to prove the natural curve our social evolution has taken, and that ultimately we will destroy ourselves, we truly are a overgrown virus'.

So yeah a want society is suicidal in the long run, but who cares about the short term eh?. By human nature we cant change that sooo.

It's not the job itself, it's listening to my boss go on about how human civilization has never before been so full of rottenness and how we're all circling the drain and we'll all destroy ourselves soon enough and for the love of god Tom if you really think it's that bad then just please kill yourself now and let the rest of us get on with it.

Anyway. Spam. *creates paper chain ribbons and coats them in a light Balsamic vinaigrette* That said goats before I spotted my typo.

Haha, I do honestly think the Human race is that bad not inherintly, just by evolution, but then you get the people swallowed whole by society to a degree, they foolishly think they on the "right" side to a degree, I mean people dont evan know what evolution means, one day the world will go to s*** and these lambs will be lost.

That sounded so theological the last part especially I am not however.

It don't see why it couldn't have been both. Also the two-dimensional bit could have been a self-swiping.
