Because even though Audioslave is hardly obscure, you still don't know what I'm talking about.

If it's mainstream, it would have to be something EVERYONE's talking about for me to know it.

They were a pretty big deal a few years ago, given that they were composed of the singer from Soundgarden and everyone from Rage Against The Machine except their singer. They put out three weak albums and then broke up.

I've heard of Rage Against The Machine. Twice.

Their songs don't all sound the same, but they do all follow the same structure.

Okay, if I ever listen to one, I'll know what the other sounds like, I guess. XD

Anyway now Cornell is back with Soundgarden and it's probably only a matter of time before Rage finds wherever Zack de la Rocha went and reforms.
