i can't take care of dogs anymore, and they make me feel too guilty. and i am very happy on the other end of the leash. my feline masters are kind.

Most likely it either has to do with some 'legal' reason, or some semantics reasoning from a public relations standpoint. But I certainly don't know for sure.
