yeah, traps are good.

Just make sure you check them regularly. Or the surprise may be unpleasant.

get a good long pair of tongs... and some heavy gloves... or make a man deal with it.

um, and traps - if they are mice for sure, the mainly run along the wall, so you'll want to set the traps along the walls, and on top of newspaper to minimize mess. you really don't need bait, but a little peaniut butter or a bit of dog food doesn't hurt.

 

you can try to check for where they're getting in and seal, but they can get into an opening 1/4" in diameter if they're small...

 

i accidentally caught a whole bucketful of mice in my garage, just by leaving a bucket there, and i guess maybe there was a little water or something in it, though i'd have baited with food if i was trying to catch them.

 

they must have dived in one by one, and there were quite a few in there by the time they were found. cruel, but i didn't mean to be. i just don't check the garage that often.
