i don't mind the cold. like it better than the heat. but the beach... overrides all other preferences.

The only problem with getting there is the Miami airport.

Pae, you are missing out.

i've only been to st thomas once... it is a memory that sticks...

ocean city twice.... not the same, the water is harsh, and the frat boys are noxious.

coney island many times... really not the same... like.... really.

montauk many times. can't swim thosse riptides, but you can;t be more alone on this continent.

but here, have one of these, it's not as good as the name, but you don't have to spend a week washing off sand...

i seem to recall not going through florida... i don't remember how, but it seemed more central... long time ago.

went through miami for key west when i was little. water full of baracudas. lawns full of fire ants. more stars than i thought existed in the night sky. overall, i'd skip it.

crap... really should work... really trying... really.

I've only been to the beach....twice maybe. sad.gif

*gateways paet to st thomas, with whatever companionship, drink, and food he desires; hires lackeys to take care of his obligations while he cheers up*

best i can do... don't have a sad...

It´s hard for someone like me that lives by the ocean to imagine a life without the beach.

i haven't lived within 7 hours of a decent beach since 1982. i've made the trip a couple of times since then. but it's beyond me now until/unless i retire some day.

We have some nice beaches here. I like the small ones that aren´t crowded with people.

lets all go.

*gateways in, pays the drink runners handsomely, and spends the next year in the bay enjoying [PG13 alert] on the beach*

(erm, sorry.... i altered the recipe just enough to annoy the MPAA.)

don't worry, paet, the beach is very roomy.

I don't think he'll mind some company. :)

*cheers* Here is to a great year on the beach!
