The metric system makes tons more sense than our measurement system. XD

It does, but it's more memorization. Metric actually has a system to it that makes sense.

Like, why 12 inches to a foot, 3 feet to a yard, 5280 feet to a mile?

Our system makes perfect sense. If it didn't nothing would work.

Or 10 decimeters in a meter... Or 1000 meters in a kilometer. You know by the word, you don't have to memorize unrelated numbers, you can do the math easily...

I just think metric is easier if you're not taught the other way first. Because then it's common sense and isn't anything new.

Well actually you should be asking why is their 80 chains to a mile. Or 4 rods to a chain.

But like, I'd have to whip out a calculator to know how many inches are in a mile, because I don't have it memorized. But I know there are 100000 centimeters in a kilometer easily.
