Although I don't feel remotely sleepy, which I think signifies something I've been dreading since the weird mood things started this fall.

Sometimes I can even manage to doze shallowly for an hour or two.

But during those times, it almost seems like it's counterproductive to try and function on a regular schedule accounting for sleep.

For days on end, I strive to sleep

But rest evades me, so I weep

A thousand tears of heated woe

My insanity begins to grow.

Mayhaps I'll find a siggy-maker fair

To make a scrolling image to display

Of Ms and Ms and Ms and Ms and Ms

And Ms and Ms and Ms and Ms and Ms.

And then, after many Ms,

An Eesh.

An Eesh, so fair,

So blessed,

So there.

To hypnotize the fools and all the wise

Till nothing but a glaze is on their eyes.

I just like to say

"Methinks thou dost protest too much."

It feels like candy

To my tongue

My mind

My lips

They cherish the play

Of words and meaning

As the phrase falls on ears

Or dead air.

More often

Than not

Dead air.

Or deaf ears which

Don't understand

What

On earth

I'm saying.

To be understood would be

A more than pleasant happenstance

And it would cause such jubilee

If such a thing could have a chance.

My words often confound the minds

Of people simple, smart, and (x adjective here, thank you!)

I try to make them clear as bells

But all they do is fog the (x noun here that rhymes with x adjective, thank you!)

ALAS! Cried I, the bloody-eyed

The bearer of the somber face

THIS NIGHT IS LONG AND, TERRIFIED,

WE MUST BEWARE THE DARKEST PLACE

Where cold will rime your heart with frost

And turn your lips to deepest blue

The tears you shed for loves you've lost

Coat now your face with frozen dew.

This stuff is bloody brilliant, someone had better be reading it or I will be very put out.
