Is the show close to the books?

The first few seasons were pretty similar. They changed some things, added/took away others but that's expected. Now that they are ahead of the books who knows how it'll be when Martin is done. They will end it the same way as they know how it is supposed to end. Martin is fine with what they have done with the show and for me, that's good enough.
