went to a french restaurant, they took ages between courses, but they were quite busy. good nommings, but I was quite sleepy by the end of it

I've always wanted to try escargot. Seriously.

 

I had a beef tartare tapas thing that I got basically after we sat down (that's raw beef to the rest of you)

 

had langoustine and salmon with some crackly stuff for a starter, didn't think that that was amazing...

 

my mom's veloute was good actually, with quail which I'd never had before

 

and there was a wild peach marshmallow at the end but that's not too strange

 

I've had beef tartare before. It's one of my favorites.

 

What is veloute? I've had quail, but never heard of veloute.

like a sauce that goes with the quail, it was all served in a bowl-type thing. Pieces of quail (on and off the bone), some quail eggs and then the veloute over it. There was quite a bit of veloute so I thought it was a soup at first >.>

those other two posts were giving me a hard time...

 

Ahhh... I have had something similar to that, then. Sounds yummy.

if you can't see a the hidden boards you'll just have to wait for the admins to get around to giving you access

I personally am all about the brownies.

 

Bacon is good, but we overloaded on that pretty fast.

So there is going to be a war about who onws the brownies then?

It usually only takes a couple of days to kick the admins into giving you access to the private boards.
