OMG, I'm having so much fun watching the World Series.  I can't take my eyes of the screen.  I never thought baseball was a sport, let alone fun to watch.  Not only is baseball indeed a sport ---- it is THE sport.  Like, THE.  I'd marry it and have it's babies if I could.

 

Why, you ask?  Because of the concentration.  I mean, just look at that right fielder during the game!  You'd think he's standing there, scratching his @$$ the whole time and spitting 46 pounds of sunflower seeds onto the ground, but noooooo.......this dude is focused.  Concentration knows no bounds in the game of baseball.  Incredible physical condition is needed to play - just look at that Prince Fielder guy from last round!  He's obviously in peak physical condition, and agile like nobody's business.  Amazing that we humans can sculpt our bodies to and look like the gem of a physique that is otherwise known as Prince Fielder.  Craayyyyzayyy.

 

Another reason baseball rocks my world?  The pitching duels.  I mean, who else loves just watching 2 people play catch for 3.5 hours, amirite?  Nobody can hit the ball - that's how good these pitchers are!  The entire defense is on their toes waiting for the ball to be hit.  But no, they (like me!) are stuck in the agonizing & tantalizing merry-go-round of emotions that constitutes a pitching duel.  Holy moly!

 

And this brings me to.....hockey.  I can't imagine a game more the opposite of baseball.  While baseball is exciting and puts you on the edge of the roof seat, hockey is about as fun to watch as paint drying.  Nothing ever happens!  Where's the action?  I mean, they have to have that silly computerized tail to follow the puck because it moves so fast!  That's boring, folks.  Too fast is boring.  And the hitting......you'd think having people knocked silly at a high speed would be great fun, right?  You know what I think it is?  Dangerous!

 

Yeah, you can get hurt playing hockey.  Look at me, I blew my knee out this summer in a hockey game.  Had I been playing a safe & slow & therefore awesome game like baseball, I'd have been fine.  My mistake.  Hockey is just too dangerous - baseball is America's game.  Obviously we know something, right?  We can't get a government to agree, but hot damn.....we can watch baseball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh wow. I never knew you had such Deep devoted feelings for Baseball, Verbal.

LOL. I just got into fantasy football this year. I'll be one and done with it.

 

I find myself rooting for players on teams I'd never root for! It's very disconcerting...

I still don't get the point of Fantasy Football. 

Simply, it's a game that appeals to football fans. I'm a football fan, but after participating in fantasy football for several weeks now, I feel kind a like...meh. 

Oh I know what it is. Verbal's even explained it to me a few times. I just don't get the point.

The point is to DOMINATE and talk smack. None of which I've done this year, because I'm cursed!

 

I did some pre-match smack talk once. My defense scored -2 and I lost by 4 points. It still hurts.

I still don't get the point of Fantasy Football. 

 

It is dungeons and dragons for jocks.
