My family had to put our dog down a few months ago. It was weird for me because I haven't seen him since last year because I moved to Sweden, so I didn't see his health take a sharp decline, and though I heard about it, that just isn't the same thing.

Love those doggies as much as you can when they get up there. We lost our 10 year old Zoe earlier this month, and she was only sick a week or so. It happens suddenly sometimes. My son had a funeral of sorts. Several friends were here helping dig her grave, so kind of a funeral. And now that I've brought down the whole thread, carry on...
