Loved watching RotK when the Rohirrim were battling the Haradrim.  Look at about minute 3:30 on this video:

 

 

Now that battle was amazing. Did you see them RIDE?  Phenomenally well-trained horses that responded to the riders' weight and leg and left the riders' hands free to wield either bow or sword or spear.  It gives me total goosebumps.  What horsemanship.
