http://money.cnn.com/2013/12/11/news/companies/the-hobbit-movie-lawsuit/index.html?source=cnn_bin What do you guys think? Personally I think WB owes Mirimax money for the second and third films. It may or may not have been explicitly stated but the general idea of the agreement is that Mirimax would sell the rights to the story for a portion of the profits. It doesn't seem fair at all that WB decided to do three movies and cut Mirimax out of 2/3 of the profit.

We've known for a while that Bethesda was planning a Fallout 4 and it was almost certainly going to be their next big game after Skyrim. Rumours have flourished for a while that the game would be set elsewhere on the Eastern Seaboard, with Bethesda apparently not willing to tackle the West Coast/Nevada setting of the first two Fallout games and New Vegas, leaving that area to Obsidian (hopefully indicating that Obsidian will get to make more Fallout games; frankly New Vegas curb-stomped Fallout 3 in quality). These speculations have been rewarded by info leaking that Bethesda writers and researchers haven been in Boston and visiting MIT, writing up info for their next…

Erm, the newer one is, anyway, not the original which is almost 36. Anyway: Ten years ago, on 8 December 2003, the first part of a new Battlestar Galactica mini-series aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in the United States. In response to strong ratings and rave reviews, an ongoing series was commissioned. The series eventually concluded in 2009 after four seasons, 75 episodes, two TV movies, a Hugo Award, a Peabody and a slew of technical Emmies. BSG was an attempt by its writers to rejig TV science fiction for an adult, mainstream audience. Most of the creative team - most notably showrunner Ronald D. Moore - had previously worked on the Star Trek franchise and had grown f…

I believe the beta just came out on steam or will be available really soon. Is anyone going to play this? Personally I'm really excited and can't wait to dive into it. From what I've seen it looks like Terraria but in space. I never actually played Terraria or got into it so I can't comment on how accurate that might be. And if you don't know what Terraria is...well it's like a 2d sidescrolling Minecraft. I guess. It also has a little bit of an FTL feel to it although it's not a roguelike or anything like that. So far I've seen a couple LP's of Spacebound and for what is already in the game it looks relatively enjoyable. And the fact that it's just a beta and more is …

Poll is about tactical games of the classical type, as in games traditionally played with physical boards, cards, bricks, or similar. Not the purely digital ones that don't have physical progenitors at all. Let's say you were stranded on some isolated location with 4 or 5 buddies and you had everything required for playing one specific game and no other ones at all - for sake of making the selection go easier. Might be a bit difficult otherwise. You could play one game and one game only for, say, 4 years. Your buddies could only play that one game, so you can't just make a board of your own and play, either. I allowed multiple choice, even so, because you might feel …

The nfl may be planning to move a team to london in the next few years what do you guys think? On yahoo most people were against it. A lot of people had concerns about the travel. I don't agree. Soccer players have been doing this for years. We have players in europe from all over the world who regularly fly home or to other countries for international games. Nearly every premiership team has ppre season tours of the us and asia and last year chelsea had to travel to japan for the world club cup. Next year the world cup is in brazil. The england players will spend over a month out there. Are nfl players really not able to travel first class for 10 hours?

[it's kind of a crosspost from ComicbookResources forum, people there wouldn't help] My version is "numb" [has the "no text anywhere" glitch], though I presume cause it turns out my disc is a well-done pirated copy [already returned it,teared them a new one and now should wait for my next wage to buy a normal copy cause sister decided it was time to reclaim money I owed her]...anyway, I am interested in what info game gives on a few characters I like, and what properties they have if summoned. Those characters are: Murmur The Key [albino one] Black condor II,Ryan Kendall (I am pretty sure he is somewhere here) Vampire batman G'nort Star saphire Negative man Also, h…

USA SET TO SHOCK THE WORLD (in a real football sport ) The USA ran out comfortable winners against Wales in Wrexham, beating the Rugby League World Cup 2013 co-hosts 24-16 to extend their impressive recent winning run. NRL player Clint Newton bagged two tries, with one each from Matthew Petersen, Tuisegasega Samoa and fellow NRL star Joseph Paulo to highlight the Tomahawks as one of the form teams in the tournament. They had to survive a late charge from the Welsh, who scored two tries to give the score line a look of respectability, but they were left to rue a number of earlier mistakes. The sides were coming into this match on the back of opposite result…

Just started watching the show today. Already liking it and its not even 5 minutes in. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2705602/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3 Mark Addy, aka Roland from a Knights Tale, or Robert Baratheon in Game of Thrones, plays Hercules. He's one guy I recognized so far.

So, Yesterday was Announcement 2 of 3 from Valve. Monday, they announced The Steam OS, which is a Steam Flavored Linux OS, which will be 100% free, and can be put on basically any computer. Or if you wanted, a completely separate computer, designed for the Steam OS. The Steam Machines. Needless to say, I'm pumped. This is The competition I've been expecting Valve to bring to Sony and M$. I honestly didn't expect this to be announced, until nearly half-way through the PS4/X1's life cycle. (Its VALVE we are talking about here!) Plus, I called it 9-14 Months ago. I believed steam would launch a 'console', that is entirely modular, and would use Linux as…

What are your thoughts? I enjoyed it on the GameCube, and expect it to look even better in HD. I don't care for cel-shading, so I'm liking that it doesn't look entirely cartoonish; it has some depth now.

Are there any fans of True Blood here on Dragonmount? My wife and I have read most of the books which this series is based upon, and we both enjoy the books as well as this HBO summer tv series. We started watching season 6 after recording the first two episodes. Anyone got anything ... good or bad.. that they want to say about the True Blood HBO series?

This is a 'dramatization' of vikings culture & mythology, and what not. Not sure exactly which time-peroid(s) it takes place in, but the previews make it out to be really good.
