If you know what those initials stand for like I do... then please don't make fun of me. So I watched the season premiere last night (DVRed you know). The Monkeys should win this thing.

Anyone else watching this? I originally didn't want to watch it because: A.) Yet ANOTHER cop show. Cop shows must make up 50% of tv or some such >.< Though I admit I like a lot of them >.> B.) They do the stupid *turn and look at you, attempting to look bad-ass while we all know they are just actors and look damn silly* UGH However! I decided to try the Pilot and I've been watching it ever since. I really like it and I even really like the chick ;D (who at first I was like: another blonde cop? UGH)

Atlas Entertainment and Hollywood Gang are planning to produce a post-apocalyptic take on the "Robin Hood" legend reports Risky Biz Blog. The action/adventure will be set in a dystopian London and center on a band of thieves whose activities restore hope to the city's embattled population. Commercials director Nicolai Fuglsig, who pitched the project, has signed on to direct from a script by Jason Hall. No title has yet been set. Charles Roven ("The Dark Knight"), Gianni Nunnari ("300") and Richard Suckle will produce.

Are you ready????? I so am! Ok, so the auditions rounds actually started in May. As usual, there's two weeks of auditions and then the Call backs begin. This week begins the first round of Callbacks in Vegas. This is where we Really get to see who is gonna cut it or who will fail. Just like on American Idol, they're going to whittle the group down to the Top 20 Finalists who will then be paired with a partner and compete on the stage. There's a number of dancers back this year who just missed the top 20 last year, so I'm already pulling hard for them. And then there's a few who really impressed me and this is the first time I'm seeing them. I can't wait t…

I am too lazy to make seperate threads for all of this. Whoopdie doo! Returning to Nimh seems like a good idea to me. Yay, I love any new Dollhouse news.

http://scifiwire.com/2009/08/director-berg-envisions-a.php I was very disappointed with Lynch's '84 version of the book which focused more on the rivalry of the families and did a terrible job with the action scenes. I hope that if Berg succeeds in making this, that it does the great book justice.

I am not going to hide it... I am not excited about this movie. After seeing the previews with those ridiculous suits I just can't imagine how this will ruin another thing from my childhood. So if you go see it, let me know what you think. Here is a review...

http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/08/05/ridley-scott-developing-brave-new-world/ I am very excited for this movie. It sounds like a film Scott can direct perfectly and create a masterpiece. I'm a big Scott and DiCaprio fan, the plot sounds great, so I have high hopes for this movie

Jon Spaihts ("Passengers," "Shadow 19") has been hired to write a prequel to 1979's "Alien" in development at 20th Century Fox reports Variety. Preceding that first film, the project marks the return of Ridley Scott to the franchise with the helmer returning to the director's chair. Spaihts got the job after pitching the studio and Scott Free, which will produce the film.

Anyone else notice this while watching Fox. I am pretty sure it is a viral campaign for the new season of House.

  12. Hollywood ... The Glitz ... The Glam ... The Stars ... The Screw-Ups... wait ... The Screw-Ups? Of course! What does such a collection of Awesome such as the Chan need with the "Hollywood Elite" if not to make fun of these overpaid, shallow, brain-dead entertainers and possibly drool over the hot ones and contribute to their paycheck. The reason we contribute to that paycheck is simple: ENTERTAINMENT. And in this Editorial, I show you what not do to based on the example of the Hollywood Elite. I will also make fun of them. Now, not all of these people are morons, we know that. You can't judge a group of people based on some bad apples - if everyone bas…

Okay, question - should I watch the original 1978 series first, or should I skip it entirely and watch the 'new' Battlestar Galatica?

Is the dvd pilot any good? Should I watch it? I sat up 'til about 4 am last night, because I needed to watch the series finale of Battlestar Galactica, which I thought was, despite the heavy-handedness of the ending (oh noes! :o) to be pretty awesome. I can't believe I didn't get on this show before : p In short, I pretty much loved it. But yeah, should I get Caprica? What does the 'Chan say!?

I didn't even know a Warcraft movie was in the works but apparently there is, or will be at least. Continued HERE Have to wonder what the movie will focus on. There's a lot of lore in the Warcraft universe and lots of good stories to make a movie on.

Anyone other than me watch Torchwood? ??? Dale and I love it, and were really pissed that they made Season 3 a mini-series instead of an actual drawn out season, however; it was nice that since they had to squeeze everything into 5 eps, there was no slow movement in the content. Really upset about Ianto (don't know about that spelling...Llanto or Janto maybe) too because he was one of our favorites. Love the growth that got shown in Gwen's character finally as well.

  23. Let the fangirls squee .... new Harry Potter movie. Personally I hate all of the movies because they suck compared to the books, but I'm a snob that was a fan before this shit was popular (read it back in 1998 when there was only 1 book out and no one knew who JK Rowling was). So I'm annoyed that a good story turned into a money minting machine. I'll probably go see the movie anyways, if just to be obnoxious about it and tear it to pieces! Any reviews?

  25. Sky One have unveiled their cast for their adaption of Going Postal, which is in production in Hungary and will air over Easter 2010. Moist von Lipwig - Richard Coyle (Coupling) Reacher Guilt - David Suchet (Poirot) Lord Vetinari - Charles Dance (you know who he is), replacing Jeremy Irons. Adora Belle Dearheart - Claire Foy (a relative newcomer) Drumknott - Steve Pemberton (The League of Gentleman) Groat - Andrew Sachs (Fawlty Towers) Miss Cripslock - Tamsin Greig (Green Wing) Sweet :-) Just hope it's better than Colour of Magic/Light Fantastic, which I thought was meh.

  26. I've just come across the news that the adaptation of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series, The Legend of the Seeker is coming to the UK. About time! It premieres on the Sci Fi Channel on Thursday 13th August 2009, as a double bill (like the US), starting at 8pm, with the second episode at 9pm. It is also available in HD. Now my Thursday are complete, as I can ogle Bridget Regan...ah, pure bliss! 8) http://www.scifi.co.uk/shows/legend-of-the-seeker/ I found this out on the official TG website, where I am a member.

I believe there may have been a thread about this ages ago, but oh well I'll start a new discussion thread. Caught Burn Notice yesterday before Royal Pains, I've watched bits of it, always thought it seemed like a cool show. I DEFINITELY enjoyed it. It was quite and epic show, I want to watch the previous episodes now. Last night's episode was awesome with crazy math guy who thought that spys were aliens. I believe I'll be watching in the future!
