Bes has been really busy lately and asked me to send smooches and huggles to everyone for her. She'll be back hopefully before Christmas; if not, then right after. Most of the threads I look at keep coming up with "No Posts in this thread". Is it just me or is something up... though I suppose if something is you won't be able to see this!

One of the things I pride myself on, is that members of this Org have the BEST rate of compliance with the signature and avatar guidelines. I've noticed a couple of people who are just a little large on one or the other. So do me a favor, and check yours. If yours is fine, please check that the people around you are also fine. Avatars should be no more than 80X80. Signatures should be no more than 100X500. Thanks!

I took my middle schoolers to Jekyll Island, Georgia for three days. We climbed tress that were over two hundred years old, stood on a windswept beach at dawn and watched the dolphins play, walked through a marsh with mud smeared on our faces and ate plants, pet rays and horseshoe crabs, took silent walks in the dark through the dunes, put kids in canoes for the first time in their lives and play all sorts of silly games. It was an amazing, almost spiritual experience. I realized why I love teaching middle school so much. You get to have a strong role in guiding these children to become wonderful adults. I found this band on MySpace aaaaages ago, but never bothered to listen to their songs. The initial attraction was that they had a really cool name, which is Kill Bosby. It still makes me giggle. Anyway, I just went back today and had a listen to their songs, which I think are pretty decent. Potentially my favourite, however, is a cover! So, I'm not a veteran teacher by any means. I've been teaching, and in youth ministry for over 6 yrs. But, I have been out of the official classroom for about 3 of those years, and have just this Fall returned. I teach 2 subjects - 7th grade Life Science and 6th/7th/8th grade Beginner's Chinese. When I saw the Christmas Wish Lists, it reminded me of something we used to do here a long time ago. (It could be 3 years, it could be 6 years, my memory is flat gone. In Norway it just turned 1:55am on December 1st, and this means that it is now offically time to break out those Christmas cds, eat the Christmas marzipan and generally start to get excited for Christmas. For me, however, the days leading up the big day are just as nice. I love getting mentally prepared for it, getting ready to have time off from school and work, to just sit down and do nothing for a couple of days. Now I know I'm prolly gonna get yelled at for this as its prolly somewhere else around here, but I have limited internet access as of now, so I dont have alot of time to be online. Since Arya has been pestering me about getting raised, I wanted to know what the procedures are. Arya explained it to me, but obviously not good enough. I know there's a points system, but what I am not sure of is what has to be done to earn points and how many points for each thing. This weekend Americans will be celebrating Thanksgiving. One of my family's traditions is going around the dinner table and saying what you are thankful for. Usually, my answer is "The First Amendment and indoor plumbing". I'm actually very serious about that, but it sounds funny. If anyone knows what's going on, pls help! So, if you have a Gmail acct, you know that under Settings, you can click on Accounts and Gmail can pick up your email from your other pop accts, like for work or school. I've had no trouble with this until recently. I set up a DM acct for myself and I've been writing emails thru Gmail for it. Some of you know that I live in a semi-large city (at least by Norwegian standards :P) and that I live not too far from the main road leading into the city centre. This is a relatively calm street during the night, and most days I don't even notice the noise. That all changed tonight. For some reason the road contructors decided that 2am on a Tuesday night was as good a time as any to start their work on the road. And since my room is about 20 meters away from the road.. well you do the math. And so I find myself awake at 2:30 in the morning, in five hours I have to get up to study for my exams.
