Um, lets see I am 21 almost 22 live in the good old USA. I stated reading WOT of time my freshman year of high school. I was bored and just randomly grabbed a book off the shelf at my school library and started to read. The main reason I joined is that no one around my area that I know of reads the books so there is no one to talk to about them for me. I also seen that you guys have a rp section which I will be looking into possibly. Volka PS. why the hell is there no word in the old tongue for hello?

greetings folks, long time listner first time caller, just wanted to say howdy and good to be here, long time fan since 89 right when it all started, couldnt believe that this series has exploded like it has, but good things can only be held down so often, and i say this the first one of us to hit the lottery needs to seriously think about investing in an animated movie with disney perf, but only with a director who is true to the books in the style of blade runner with the characters narriating the povs, thats it have a good one and talk to you soon, oh yea i happend to get a hold of a manuscript back in well when ever the path of daggers came out really expensive and st…

Hi, Mike here been reading WOT for about 8 yrs and eagerly waited for the latest book. Just spent the last 2 nights finishing the book, WOW, just 12 more months to my next fix. Will anybody ever be able to commit to film. More complex than Tolkein, better written than Donaldson Age 58 retired early and living in Portugal.

I'm newish here too! Been watching Dragonmount for a long time, read RJ's blog religiously, decided to finally use the forums. In case you weren't aware, there's an awesome app for Android (maybe iPhone too?) called Tapatalk that works for these and many other forums. I'm not in any way associated with the developer, I just like the app =P

Hola senores and senoras. Greetings to all. Names Miguel and i,ve been a WoT fan since i first read TeOtW back in 2002 by the librarian's recommendation since i really enjoyed lord of the rings. Since that day i was hooked and have reread all of the books more times than i can count. For me these books are something to fall back on when life gets tough or when the temperature drops below freezing and staying in where it's warm sounds good.

Greetings all I'm new to this series. I started reading the WoT about a year ago. A very good friend in my roleplaying group recommended it to me. I'm glad he did. I flew through the first five books, then took a break from reading for several months. I'm not sure why, I didn't find LoC to drag as I've heard, just got too busy or distracted I suppose. I got my father into the series, he's about to start working on ToM in the next day or so. I'm currently on aCoS, and can't wait to see what happens next. A note, I read some spoilers early on-and even knowing that x event would happen, the experience wasn't ruined for me in the least. There are few books that I co…

Greetings Dragonmount community... I picked up Wheel of Time in 2003, at the urging of a friend who said "You liked Lord of the Rings, you might like this" and tossed me TEOTW. I read straight through WH, then faithfuly purchased CofT, KofD, and TGS. In the meantime, I have discovered the excelent re-read on Tor.com (thanks Auntie Liegh!). The re-read has truly caused me to refect on how important these books and characters have become to me. I still never really viewed myself as someone who joined things like this community. With the release of TofM and my reaction to it, I realize I really, really, REALLY am one of you. *creepy background voices start chanting "on…

Hi, my name is Natalie. I've been reading RJ since I was 16 yrs old....17 yrs ago! Never joined one of these sites but ToM has me all nostalgic and sad for the end is nigh and all that. I have one question I wonder if anyone can answer. I keep seeing references to "Hoid"?? Who is that? Is it some crazy abbreviation I'm just not getting? Anyway, glad to be here.

Hi everyone! I'm a newspaper journalist, working in Kolkata, India. I first picked up Eye of the World in paperback maybe 14 years ago for 50 rupees (about a dollar US), and I've been hooked ever since. I've also been a lurker on Dragonmount for a long time, and (while I'm waiting for TofM to be delivered) finally decided to take the plunge...

Well lets see i was given my first WoT book by a former boss in 2000....and havent let them sit sense then...sooooo not looking forward to the wait for the next book. I read the Towers Of Midnight in 12 hrs....I think I need to learn how to read a bit slower. Hats off to Brandon Sanderson I've read several of his books and was really looking forward to him picking up where Robert left off. I had some reservations about it all but he def. delivered.

Hai! Started reading WoT about one and a half month back due to constant bugging of a friend of mine. To start reading when joining the military seemed sensible as well, when else to start such a formidable piece of work than when you will have a lot of free time? Currently halfway through the Path of Daggers. And wow, I'm impressed. The sheer enormity of the series, it's incredible. So I felt I had to take this to the next step and join a forum. This forum I landed on after poking around. It is a lot of things to discuss after all, and I've gathered another book has been released (yay!), which I guess means a lot of activity to come here with yet another book(s?)…

Hello all, I just wanted to say hello to everybody new and old at Dragonmount, especially to people who may be in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. I have been a huge fan of WoT since sometime in 2005, and I all I can say that right now with the release of Towers of Midnight, I only have WoT on my mind.

Hi, just decided to say hello. Loving the Wheel of Time series (as well all do), haven't read all of them yet currently reading avidly through Winters Heart. They are so hard to put down. I love how that how some characters you assume only pop up once, will reappear later in the series in a much larger role, like Bethamin, Aludra or Shiaine. Chris Aybara PS - You could possibly guess Perrin is my fav

I started reading in the beginning (I know, there ARE no beginnings), in 1990. I used to lurk on rec.arts.sf.written.robert-jordan. I loved reading what so many smart people who loved the same books as me had to say. I learned a lot -- mostly about not to annoy John S. Novak (a god on that forum). He seems to have disappeared ... but now there are lots of new, smart, informed people! I thought I'd gear up my courage and join in. I'm a re-reader, like so many of you. Every time a new book is due, I start reading at the beginning, and read every word all the way through. I'm at the point that I can turn a page and know what's on the top of the next page. I'm sur…

Hi Dragonmounters (silly pun, no offense meant ) I've been reading and rereading WoT since the start, always waiting impatiently for the next like so many of you. And now ToM is finally out, and I can't get it I live in the middle of nowhere, don't have a credit card, and my local bookshops don't have it yet and don't know when they will, though they hope they will do in the next week or so (by which I mean *tugs braid* obviously - and I do have one lol) The frustration is really, well, frustrating! I really hope they get it this week, then I will devour it in a night or 2, and maybe be able to post something else on here If I have any thoughts on it worth t…

Hi all, Just thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. I've lurked here and used to do an occasional theory post back on WOTmania (it's been awhile, I can't even recall my nick there now), but this is my first post here. Thanks to the DM crew for keeping a space open for WOT discussions! Anybody who got their copy of TOM today and finished it already gets a gold star.

Hello there. I'm Jim Burnell. I've never really been good at coming up with nicknames or anything, so I'm just sticking with my real name. I started reading the Wheel of Time in 2006, as I was preparing to move to Dallas, TX, based on the urging of my friend Jay Barr, who used to be pretty active on the RJ usenet group as well as WoTmania. I got hooked immediately. When Facebook created "Fan Pages", I was the first to create a Wheel of Time Fan Page. Since then I've pulled Jason Denzel, Theresa Gray, Jen Hill (of Tor Books), Matt Hatch, and Luckers in as admins, but I still probably check in on it most frequently. It's at http://facebook.com/wheeloftime …

Greetings Everyone! I finally got around to joining Dragonmount's forum, after reading TOM thought tht I really needed to start talking to other people who are as WoT crazy as I am. So hello all you WoT maniacs. Hopefully now my boyfriend will realise I'm not quite as strange as he thinks I am after he sees the amount of people on these forums. Cenire

Hi! I'm thrilled to join the community at last. I've always avoided the forums (except for occasional lurkage around book-release time) because I didn't need yet another internet diversion keeping me from earning a living, but with the series wrapping up so soon I figured it was time. A bit about me and the WoT: I started reading just after the LoC paperback release - I was 13. Since aCoS, I've bought each new release on the day of and read it on the spot. In the early days I kept notes and did regular re-reads, I had an indexed binder full of notes about prophecies, viewings, known BA, etc. That level of devotion faded around tPoD. I can't remember when I stopped doi…
