Please note, when I say prologue reading, I mean the reports from DragonCon, not the released iphone sample. So, unless you are going to make the absurd suggestion that I am reading too much into things, Chapter 8 tells us a few interesting things about Chapters 1-7. :P 1. I have seen at least one person who cannot read the prologue refuse to read Chapter 1 because of this. I just want to say that Chapter 1 had nothing to do with the prologue.

I am starting to re-read Lord of Chaos and I have an unanswered question after reading everything up to TGS: what is meant when we hear that Nynaeve's weather sense is telling her something? For example, in the Prologue to LoC, while Nynaeve is probing Siuan and Leane, and has "Marigan" linked through the a'dam, we read that her weather sense is telling her that a huge storm is coming, even though a drought covers the world? I remember passages like this even after she resolves her block, all the way up to TGS. We know that she truly can listen to the wind, so is her "weather sense" something broader that should allow her to predict conflict?

Prior to The Gathering Storm being released, Dragonmount released a list of unresolved questions and plot threads. On the Towers of Midnight book page of Dragonmount at the very bottom, it is indicated that Dragonmount will once again release a list of unresolved questions and plot threads for Towers of Midnight. Since we are less than a month away, is this still being planned and if yes, when can we expect to see the list of unresolved questions and plot threads?

I have just finished reading the mass market version of The Gathering Storm, and found two things to be changed/corrected from the Hardback version. since I did not see these anywhere else, I thought I'd share the with you. 1. in chapter 37, "A Force of Light", Sulin is incorrectly listed as being with the Maidens accompanying Rand to Natrin's Barrow. This has now been changed, but not to Nandera, as Encyclopaedia-wot.org says, but to Nerilea, who has also made a brief appearence in aCoS. 2. in Chapter 28, "Night in Hinderstap", we find out what happened to the three Redarms who were never heard from again in the hardback version; apparently Brandon just forgot …

So there's the question. What do you guys think? I mean, I tend to be more in the Hater camp than the Lover camp, myself. Snooty, pretentious women. I think my hatred finally solidified in The Dragon Reborn, during Egwene's Accepted Trial. That was pretty much all of the Gentling Ceremony I needed to see. I'd quote it, but my beloved copy of TDR recently died while I was re-reading it again. Maybe I'll get a hardback this time around. It seems to me from what I've gathered from reading the Wheel of Time novels prior to number 12 but especially from the almost amiable fireplace conversation between Rand and Moridin from "the Gathering Storm" that Shai'tan's true objective is not to just enslave the world or remake it in his image, but to utterly destroy it. I believe Moridin says something like "the others are fools, there will be nothing left when the Great Lord is victorious" or something to this effect, implying that the other Forsaken are mistaken to think they will rule over anyone in any kind of post-apocalyptic world, but in fact, the world that Shai'tan and by extention Moridin seeks is just the…

...the Eye of the World AND Callandor were created to help Rand with his role? This seems obvious of course. However. It seems to me that AoLers were much more exposed to the wider variety of Talents that we have seen so far, including things like Dreaming. First thing, Ive said this before but I might as well say it again, I think the Dark One is going to try and possess Rand, and Narishma, Alivia and whoever else will kill Rand with the Dark One in him, using Callandor, which it turns out can deliver flows without touching the target with the Power directly-no Taint. I've found myself at times uttering some of the curses used in WoT, especially after hearing them spoken aloud listening to the audio books. I've used "Burn Me" and "Blood and ashes" before without trying to and I always pause and chuckle at it. I've also used "Thank the Light" and got some funny looks. What are you're favorite curses and/or insults from WoT? There have been a lot of very amusing ones. One of my favorites is Suian's "Fish Guts!" and Uno trying not to curse, that was just hilarious.

I've been thinking about the Horn. What will it's ultimate purpose be? Where will it be sounded? Where did it come from and/or who made it?

Just somethine that came to mind some time back and I thought to run it by some people who might have thought the same thing. Its in regards to Rand and his relationship with Elaine Trakand. As most know Rands Mother was married to Taringail Damodred and has a half brother Galadedraid Damodred. Elayne's mother also married Taringail Damodred so Elayne is Galededraid's half sister. (A lot of this half brother and sister thing happening with Moiraine being half sister to Taringail but thats another story.) I have this sinking feeling that TOM is going to end with a rather major cliff hanger. Since we all kind of know the super-over reaching arc of how the rest of the WOT will go, where do you guys think the TOM will end? Will everyone meet up first, will the Last Battle just begin, will they be just about to travel to Shayol Ghul? What do you think?

Sounds crazy eh? Well it is but.... The Forsaken are part of the pattern. They were born in the pattern, acted in the pattern, so in my view, they cannot really harm the pattern in a structural way. A MAFO is a 'Maria and Find Out'. Essentially when Brandon was uncertain of an answer, he'd refer them to Maria Simons, a continuity editor for Team Jordan. I've just picked up TGS (kills me to wait for pb)and I'm finding myself a little lost. I searched the interwebs for a recap and came across a few links that brought me here. Further searching found a pdf file that seems to have been created perhaps a year ago (?) in the archives but the link is dead. Does anybody have this file? As much as I should have re-read the books while waiting for the 12th book, I didn't and now I think I'm paying for it and I'd really like to catch up a bit. Thanks a heap.

I'm sorry if this has been touched upon before, but I searched the forums and couldn't find it anywhere. What if some of the main Forsaken from the AoL were actually turned to the Shadow instead of volunteering. I know that for some it's already clear from their own or others' POV that they went willingly, but I wonder if maybe one or two didn't get converted the myrddraal way. Any opinions?

I've tried amazon, on the UK one you can't buy stuff when your Irish and usually I use the american one but for some reason its not available to customers from Europe. Tower of Midnight's release take place in a month and a day. I happened to read Jason's review of the book just minutes ago. I'm confident I'll enjoy the book. I expect a lot. Then, A Memory of Light will come out (Spring 2012, if I'm correct?). It will be the very last. There will not be more to the serie! Or maybe apart novels. Outriggers? Prequels? Off-side story? It won't be exactly the same in my humble opinion. I am thinking about what it will be like, after the last release of a Wheel of Time book. Whatever the nature if it.
