Due to age, Gwampy's, er, "self-indulgences" can only last a few moments.

Yes, I know, it's more along the lines of the whole system ceasing to function; my boss complains about it often enough. Of course he's so ugly that I have difficulty believing it was ever in public service in the first place.

I have lots of experience at ignoring my body and the associate discomforts. I shredded my right arm open on gravel and my only real reaction was annoyance at the fact that I would have a new scar.

If my only response to seeing exposed bone in my arm is to get a little irritable, I think I can deal. Provided I live that long, which frankly, I expect will prove not to be the case.
