I have recently realised that my entire french vocabulary leans on my ability to link french words in a language I already know, well a lot of my french vocabulary is like that

I ( C) - to live - жить - жив-

 

(ok, the first sound is like the s in measure which I've been told can be written in latin letters as "zh")

 

zhit - zhiv

I ( C) - to go to school - учиться - уч- -сь/ся (я and вы have the ся )

 

oochitca - ooch - -c/ca
