I think I can write upside-down. I haven't done it much, but I'm pretty sure I can.

 

Not sure about backwards, though.... I guess it depends on what you mean by backwards.

Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire (and probably Emerald, though I've never played it) have some stuff that you have to know Morse Code/have access to a Morse Code cheat sheet for.... It's pretty cool.
