The score of your word maybe be affected by the special tiles. The 50 point bonus is not part of your word so is not affected.

ok, from what i see the rules say after all the formed words are scored you get the + 50 so

 

 

lifespan 1,1,0,1,1,3,1,1 + 9 x 2 = 18

 so 68?

I keep seeing TURBO, and we could use it at D12 - H12. 

 

It would spell

LO 3 pts (O on a double letter) 

and TURBO 16 pts (O on a double letter/8 on a double word)

 

19 total.
