Is there any way to change the user name, but still have the same account, like we could in the old dragonmount.

I have just purchased a puppy. He's a black, male labrador and I get to pick him up in a couple of weeks. This morning on my way to work, I stopped off and took a look at him. He looks great! Anyway, the point of this thread is that I am looking for a great WOT name for this pup. My original idea was to call him Hopper, but when I mentioned that to a friend he thoguht I was talking about Hopper the grasshopper from Disney's "A Bug's Life." So, any great suggestions will be more than welcomed. Please be aware that I already have fish named Mandarb and Aldeib and I'm thinking of saving Lan for my son. Other than those restrictions - have at him!

It looks like there are a few problems with overly-large avatars here. It's a loophole in phpBB's avatar system that it doesn't measure the size of pictures linked from off-site. This causes a bit of a problem, since disabling direct-link avatars leaves only the gallery to choose from. Just letting you know.

Post salad recipes here - your own or any other favorites A simple creation of my own that looks particularly good preplated for a sit-down dinner (I usually do my cooking for Friday night shabbos dinner): Pear and Radish Salad Salad (makes enough for two) 1 head Red Leaf Lettuce 1 Red or Brown Pear 1 bunch Radishes Shred lettuce and arrange as a bed on the salad plates. Thinly slice the radishes and spread them on top of the letuce, leaving a few left over. Slice the pears into matchsticks (cut the sides off the pear from top to bottom, leaving a square around the core. Then slice the pear sides into thin sticks, again from top to bottom) and spr…

Post anything you would make with a main meal, such as potatoes, rice, pasta, vegitables etc. This is my favourite rice recipe its a modified version of one I found in a recipe book a long time ago(have no idea which one). Fried Rice 2 cups rice 4 cups water salt (optional) oil Frozen veggies Soy sauce(use as much or as little as you want) 2 eggs Cook the rice, ahead, as you normally would(combine the rice, water and salt in a pot and bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes). Put the rice in the fridge to cool it off. In a wok(or a large frying pan) heat some oil, add the rice and break up any large pieces. fry …

Ok.. if anyone wanted to find Sirius Black in #3 or Voldemort in any of the books, wouldn't they have just wrote either of them a letter, handed it to an owl, and tailed the owl on a broom?

"'Lo, my Master is death's Master. Asking nothing do I serve against the Day of his coming, yet do I serve in the sure and certain hope of life everlasting." The Great Lord of the Dark has given us a sign - lift your eyes, and see! I shall cast aside my fancloth for a darker cloak, and stand revealed as a servant of the Shadow. I shall unsheath my sword, for the day has come against which I gathered my skill. Dragonmount, I come. Many are the blades that will come against the Light, and those who do not bend knee shall be cast down. Those who stand against the Great Lord shall fall - those who serve well shall be raised up, and death itself shall not hold them. Dr…

Im sure this has been discussed before but, is there a chance that the wheel of time series will be made in a mini-series on hbo or usa or soemthing? Or even movies at the box office? After seeing The Lord of the Rings, I think that the technology is there to give the books justice on the big screen. What do you guys think?

Since my last suggestion turned out OK (can anyone guess or remember what that was?), I figure I have enough credibility to suggest a new one. So . . . Would anybody have interest in a recipe exchange? Post your own recipes, or a cookbook favorite (recipes aren't copyrighted, though their precise individual descriptions are, so paraphrase!). We've got a huge variety of countries here so the swath of recipes would be pretty broad if people actually posted. I'd even volunteer to moderate it, if necessary. What do you guys think?

Having some threads going on this board, maybe stickied, maybe not, to discuss other authors? We could have, say, a GRRM thread and a Robin Hobb thread, etc. Discuss.

Well, I've seen COUNTLESS threads where people discuss other authors series and whether they are good, bad or ugly. I'm picking the top contenders and making a poll. I'll leave space for one other vote, so people can write in (I'm sure I will forget some, so don't yell at me). Poll will run 7 days.

Anyway, since I am trolling these forums waiting to get out of work, I thought I would share something with you all. I just phoned a girl who I have been on and off friends with for a couple years. I have had a little crush on her for the same amount of time. We are hanging out with some mutual friends tonight and I called her about how we are getting there. I totally stumbled all over myself and sounded like a fool. Pretty hilarious stuff. I think she thought I was drunk or something. I could not pronounciate one word correctly. Whoops. Tym

It's my birthday today, I'm now 20 years old.... 2 decades down, 6 or 7 to go. My girlfriend is (I think) thinking of dumping me for no other reason then she's childish. BUT! I've got candy, cake, movies, tv, Wheel of Time, and you guys! YEAH! So wish me a happy birthday or the forsaken will show up to your house and hurt you.

I've just been put back on as moderator of this forum and I couldn't be more pleased. This is one of my favorite forums (fora) at DM for one reason. It's so low pressure. No book discussion where you have to be able to quote chapter and verse. No debates and discussions where you have to be able to defend every word you say. Instead, it's just a place where we can all hang out, outside orgs, outside RP and just get to know one another. Long, long ago in the dark ages of DM, this board was the most frequently used of them all. There were so few members we all knew each other and we posted updates on our daily lives here. I'd love it if we could do that again. I…

Ok, everyone! I feel that all those who have put a lot of effert into these boards should get some sort of praise and recognition! So, please grab a glass/tankard/vessel of whatever beverage you desire, and raise it up and give the Admin Staff of DM a big thank you and all the praise they deserve for such a sterling effert and a lot of hard work! Names that spring to my mind are Jason, Matalina and Fader6818 (as I know them the best!), but I know there are several others out there who I don't know who have put a lot of time into this update! WIthout your work, we wouldn't be where we are today. Thank you! So, let us toast the Admin Staff of DM for their work n…

Aimless needs a new name. Why? Because I shameless stole that name from another, funnier site. Thats fine on a temp site, but I'd rather have something original here. So since you are all much, much smarter than I am, I leave it to you, dear members, to devise the new name. The philosophy behind Aimless Rambling is this: Every forum has a tension between those members who want directed, focused discussion, and those who want to post for the sheer joy of posting. Its not quality that counts for them, just the pleasure of seeing their name pop up on a forum. I make no moral judgements, because I too experience that joy. I also experience the annoyance of being absent f…

Have any of you other noticed how, as a guest, you can't see messages already posted? What I am trying to say is, that when I view a message board as a guest, all I see is blank space where the message should be, and signatures there are, as well as avatars. I just thought you should know as we will be getting guests at some stage.
