I got Bone: The One Edition for Christmas and read through all 1,332 pages of it in about seven hours and the ending made me sad.  :(

My normal pagerate for text-only is 60 pages per hour; Bone is a graphic novel. Well, a trade paperback, I guess.

See.

I told you so.

She's brilliant!

All of this stuff of chopping people to bits is just venting the frustration of having to be around inferiors life forms all day in that "other" world.

Nah, it just amuses me. My violent sense of humor is the result of a behavioral experiment by my mother gone horribly awry. When I would hurt myself as a baby, instead of coddling me like most parents would, she would laugh to teach me to shrug off minor injury. And look how well that turned out!

And man, brilliance has nothing to do with it, it's immersion. I sit down with a new book, get lost, and starting moving again five hours later when I've finished it. I break only to shift position or if I need a potty break.

That's one of those Eragon books, isn't it? I hear they're horrible. And I managed to read the entire Malloreon without throwing up once.

Then you might want to let your sig know - it thinks you're still on The Shadow Rising.
