Let me try and explain. Fiddlesticks is like a game of hot potato; the idea is to keep the potato in the air, keep it moving. But you have to be throwing something someone can catch. A post like "LOL!" or just an emoticon has no content to base a reply on, nothing to catch. The momentum just stops dead.

Fiddles is also something of an art here; we want to make threads that someone can come in and read and not be bored. It doesn't necessarily have to be funny (see the game talk between me and badcrust back there), but we'd like to see a bit of effort no matter what type of post.

I don't mean to sound strict here, or try and put you off participating, it's just that we look at spam as something that someone would want to come back and read, even years later, and still find amusing or interesting. We like to look at spam as a way to challenge ourselves.

LOL!!

You telling me you need more than that?

I guess you would...

Well here it is...

MORE!

*pat pat* You keep thinking that... I'm sure it's comforting.

*tells the margarita a few bad jokes while making it* More... less?

I think you'll need to hit Ireond-level bad jokes to have any effect.

Don't worry about it. I'm not looking to chastise people, I'm just trying to make them better.

Also, you ought to be more careful about bowing your head to me. This here axe might get some funny ideas.
